Just wanted to let you know that our gorgeous Izzie, one of Piper's girls and littermate of JLo, is still a lively, naughty and wonderful companion at 15 years and 10 months. Although there are a few wobbles in those legs now, and she is about to have a lump investigated that might not be good news, she still loves to wreck the garden and begs us to throw the ball on 40 degree days... Comments : Hi! If you possibly would like a fantastic home for one of your "mature" dogs, I so hope you think of my partner, Victor, and me. Of course we would pay whatever you would charge. We have a beautiful Lakeland, Nettie, who had a very successful show career with Littlemac kennels (Coral McGregor) and who now needs another companion as Chaser, our Wire fox terrier (from Di Collins) has bladder cancer. The vet told us we will be losing him in the next month or so. Hence, Nettie will be distraught as she loves having canine company, in addition to us. I so hope you think of us, as I have virtually had Lakelands for the last 30 years (even had Robin Hood from Cinnamon), and I have found them to be such faithful, affectionate and loyal dogs. Comments : I just wanted to note on this page that our Lakeland 'Morag' from Sadie Drysdale (not a show dog) died two days ago, aged 19.5 years! These Lakelands seem to live very long lives, which is a testament to their breeding and the general health of this terrier! Morag was pretty deaf, had cataracts, and ...only in the last couple of years, a bit of arthritis. However she barely was sick or visited the vet during the first 16 years of her life.! Amazing. Very sad at be moment but lots of great memories.

Have always followed the Lakelands and Welsh also. Very interested in the black Lakies. Jean Heath has had a few nice ones in the past over here.

Comments : Warren and Troy very kindly sold a young bitch to us trying to help us us get over losing our 18 year old smooth fox terrier. Her name is Ronnie and she is devine. An absolute character, willful and funny. She has become the best friend of our wire haired fox terrier Archie and a valued family member. Warren and Troy have helped us get through an extremely difficult time losing our Sage and we love Ronnie. She has an outstanding perception of the world around her, is highly intelligent and spends hours watching television. (Yes she really watches TV) We again thank Warren and Troy for letting us have Ronnie in our lives and hope to visit with them in the new year.

Comments : Ted and I have owned our Lakeland terrier since she was 8 months old, and no longer wanted for showing because of her crooked teeth. She is now 17 years of age, and blind, deaf, and does not want to go for walks on the beach any longer. We fear the end is coming.......we have been so glad to have had this beautiful girl named Amber, for so many years - she has been the best pet, loved our grandchidlren, walks on beach, sleeping, and just keeping us company.
